Kazuyuki Kobata, 30, a Japanese tourist, was charged in Phnom Penh Municipal Court

on June 20 with debauchery related to child pornography.

He is alleged to have paid girls between the ages of eight and 11 $100-to-$150 to

allow him to photograph them while they posed naked.

During his arraignment Kobata pleaded not guilty, telling court officials that he

was unaware of Cambodia's child pornography laws and took the photos "for fun".

Kobata was arrested on June 14 after a Phnom Penh photo shop tipped police.
