Preah Vihear provincial governor Om Mara has said that commune officials in the province will indeed receive salaries this week. The comment follows claims from commune officials that they had not been paid for up to five months. “If the document for salaries has not been filled in completely, the treasury cannot give payments,” Om Mara said Monday, also claiming that there had only been a two-month delay.
