Two men were charged with drug trafficking in Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday, accused of hiding methamphetamines in Chinese buns and attempting to sneak them in to prisoners at Prey Sar prison on Monday.
Deputy prosecutor Hoeng Bunchea identified the suspects as Prum Veasna, 33, a teacher, and Ho Chanthy, 29, a guesthouse employee, who are accused of concealing 500 milligrams of the drug in the snacks. He added that both of the suspects had since been sent to Prey Sar Prison for detainment ahead of their trials.
