T he price of fresh water fish in Cambodia's markets climbed by nearly thirteen and

a half percent in August due to the introduction of a closed fishing season, according

to the National Institute of Statistics.

Retailers reported increased demand for beef, pork and chicken as a result of a shortage

of fresh fish, a staple for consumers.
