AN official at the Battambang provincial prison said yesterday that the death of an inmate earlier this week was the result of a heart attack, following an examination of the body. Hy Chamroeun, deputy director of the prison, said Chhai Kea, 27, who was convicted on robbery charges and had been in prison for the last six months, died on March 29 while watching television with other inmates.
