A woman affected by the controversial development project at Boeung Kak lake throws a mixture of salt and rice on the road outside the Daun Penh district office of developer Shukaku Inc in Phnom Penh yesterday, after police and company employees prevented a procession of monks from performing a lakeside blessing ceremony. About 100 Boeung Kak residents, who said they received permission to hold the ceremony, later gathered at Srah Chak pagoda to participate in a separate ceremony.
