A protester caused a stir during the coronation when he broke through the line of security guards and ran in front of the Royal Palace balcony, waving a paper sign that read, "evil China."

King Norodom Sihamoni had just finished his inaugural address and was thanking dignitaries on the balcony when the demonstration occurred on October 30.

The protestor was quickly apprehended and taken into the palace but soon after was marched out by police. The man, looking pale and frightened, gave his name as Chen Fang.
