Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy filed a complaint against Provincial Election

Committee (PEC) officials in Ratanakiri province to the National Election Committee

(NEC).

The complaint, on January 10, alleges irregularities in registering candidates from

the ruling CPP. Rainsy says the list of candidates was submitted after the deadline

on January 3.

He maintains the Provincial Election Committee is biased toward the CPP.
