Rethinking poverty

A conference on the advantages of social enterprises over charity organisations for generating sustainable community growth and innovation will be held at the Royal University of Phnom Penh today and on Saturday. England’s Bradford University will curate the event, which will examine how a handout mentality can actually lead to entrenched cycles of poverty. Cambodian social enterprises will also be in attendance.
