Forestry administration officials in Kandal province nabbed three men in military uniforms on Tuesday night after they were found to be transporting a load of illegally cut rosewood on a fire truck.

Head of the provincial forestry administration Yon Yu Varith, said the fire truck was stopped at a checkpoint in Khsach Kandal district, where more than three cubic metres of rosewood was confiscated.

The suspects are being held for questioning before they are sent court.

The wood was seized as evidence.
