Sand workers net live explosives

Three workers found a grenade, an M-16 rifle, dozens of bullets and several other explosive devices while dredging sand from a stream in Kampot province’s Teuk Chhou district, according to Kampot’s Deputy Police Chief Meas Chhum. The workers immediately reported the incident to the police, and all the munitions were taken to the commune police station for safekeeping, he said, adding that the rifle looked relatively new, whereas the other weapons were much more worn-out.
