Sokhet to accept ruling

Jailed journalist Ros Sokhet said he would accept the Appeal Court’s ruling against his disinformation conviction, which has been postponed from today until September 3. “I will not appeal to the Supreme Court,” he said. “But I will request the King to pardon me.” Ros Sokhet is expecting the verdict today, but court clerk Eang Nakry said the hearing was delayed and that the court had sent a letter to the prison informing him of the change.
