G OVERNMENT soldiers killed three villagers and wounded three more after

demanding a chicken, a human-rights NGO reported.

Six men from 22

Battalion were responsible for the atrocity in Ban Teay village Kratie province,

a report by Human Rights Vigilance of Cambodia said.

Witnesses said the

soldiers became angry after they were not fed, accused the villagers of being

Khmer Rouge and opened fire with AK-47s.
