The Apsara Authority will construct a new road circling the temples at Angkor, after receiving US$9.2 million in funding from the South Korean government. The road will stretch for approximately 21 kilometres, connecting Siem Reap town with Angkor Thom and Banteay Srei districts on the west and sites north of the Angkor Wat complex. Bun Narith, director general of the Apsara Authority, said construction would begin this year and be finished by the end of 2012.
