SRP killing

The opposition Sam Rainsy Party said one of its activists was murdered in Kampong Cham province September 7. Heng Sean was shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside his house, which the SRP and human rights group Adhoc described as a political killing. Police said it was not. Politically-related killings have been common in the run-up to elections - a general election is scheduled for July 2003.
