Three to face court over underage rape

Three men were tried in Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday over charges of juvenile rape. Van Leak, 21, Keuth Sophannarith, 21, and Chan Rotha, 20, were arrested in Tuol Kork district’s Boeung Salang commune in May last year, over the rape of a 12-year old girl, according to presiding judge Duch Kimsorn. All three suspects pleaded not guilty and will be sentenced on March 10.
