A BODYGUARD of land tycoon Thong Sarath was detained on Saturday in connection with an armed conflict over a card game in Dangkor district’s Kakab commune, according to Dangkor district police chief Born Sam Ath. Preab Sambath, 44, was accused of pointing his pistol at the head of Sok Ram, 32, after he lost 1,500 riels (US$0.37) and was told: “Next time, if you have no money, do not come play with me.” Buon Sam Ath added that Preab Sambath was released from custody on Sunday after he promised to keep his weapon holstered in the future.
