Dear Editor,
Some of the oldest legends would recount the memory of
life as a fetus, of a human being's birth. So the snake naga would represent the
memory of the umbilical cord. Doesn't that show us the Khmer tales, for which
the snakes have their roots in ... a womb of a woman?
