UN rapporteur has his mandate extended

The United Nations Special Rapporteur to Cambodia, Surya Subedi, has had his mandate to the country extended for another two years by the Human Rights Council. “It’s rather unprecedented, as most country mandates are renewed on an annual basis,” Subedi told the Post yesterday. “I now can go on working on Cambodia with some degree of stability and predictability.”
