Vietnamese Phu Rieng Rubber company said on November 1 it has conducted a geographical

survey and started reclaiming wasteland to plant 20,000 hectares of rubber in Kratie

province.

This is the first step of the Vietnam Rubber Corporation's long-term project, which

will ultimately have the company growing 180,000 hectares of rubber in three Cambodian

provinces, including Mondulkiri and Kampong Thom.

The maximum legal land concession is 10,000 hectares.
