The Cambodia Mekong Bank Ltd launched the Kingdom's first credit card on April

18 after complying with the issuance criteria of Visa International. Two types of

card will be available through the bank, including the Classic card with a credit

limit up to $2,500 and the Visa Gold card offering between $5,000 and $10,000 in

credit. Customers will be required to deposit twice the credit limit of their card

with the bank and both cards will carry a 1.5% monthly interest rate charge.
