It was humiliation after humiliation for a man, 25, in Kratie town on Monday after police caught him lying about how his motorbike was stolen.

Trying to elicit sympathy and avoid embarrassment, the man reported to police that he had been robbed by a group of gun-waving thugs who made off with his bike.
