‘Friend’ teaches cruel lesson about trusting

A friend in need is a friend indeed, or a moto thief as a Battambang man found this week. While the man was hosting a party, the friend in question approached him in a frenzy, claiming his sick wife needed to go to the hospital immediately.

Obliging to his buddy’s apparent emergency, the victim lent his motorbike. After several days of missed calls, the victim reported the bike as stolen. Police arrested the suspect at his home on Tuesday. DEUM AMPIL
