A woman will probably not be ringing her boyfriend soon after she was left holding the bag in Kampong Chhnang on Monday.

The woman, 25, and her boyfriend were buying a ring worth more than $500 when he pretended to forget his wallet, police said.

The man left with the ring and said he’d come back with money while his girlfriend waited in the shop. Hours later, with no sign of the man, police hauled the woman in for questioning. NOKORWAT
