A 24-year-old man may find himself going from hard knocks to hard time after allegedly stealing from a grocery store on Monday.
The man moved from Kandal to Phnom Penh in search of work. When his luck and cash ran out, the man pretended to buy cigarettes at a Chamkarmon district shop.
While the clerk was busy helping other customers, the man slipped $10 from the register and attempted to flee, but the owner’s shouts for help brought police, who made the arrest. NOKORWAT
