A man was arrested in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district after botching the getaway of an otherwise-successful necklace snatching on Saturday.

Police said the man and an alleged accomplice grabbed the necklace of a young woman leaving a wedding party and sped off on a moto.

In their excitement, however, the duo wrecked their getaway bike, allowing police to catch up and clap the cuffs on one of the men. The other managed to escape on foot. DEUM AMPIL
