An attempt not to bow to peer pressure left a man lying in a hospital bed in Prey Veng town on Sunday, after three of his friends beat him with a brick and kicked him for refusing to go out drinking.

The 27-year-old victim was apparently feeling too sleepy to join his buddies in their hijinks; something the trio didn’t take well, with the resulting argument spiraling into a vicious beatdown. Cops caught up with the suspects in their homes the same day. KOH SANTEPHEAP
