Axe request rebuffed, man resorts to fisticuffs

A hothead looking for a fight may have been a little too indiscriminate in his choice of victim. The resident of Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district went to his 70-year-old neighbour’s house on Monday to borrow an axe.

The man said he didn’t have an axe, which proved enough provocation for the amped-up 22-year-old to start throwing punches. Police came by the mother’s house, but she said her son had already taken to the hills. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
