Bad Apple thief not the only one in the barrel

A violent robbery landed a man from Poipet behind bars on Saturday. The suspect beat two Thai nationals, allegedly stealing an iPhone in the process.

While the suspect managed to briefly flee the scene, his time on the lam was swiftly brought to an end, and he was apprehended by military police later that day.

Locals, meanwhile, called for a stepped-up police presence, complaining that crime and gangs run rampant in the area.
