Bag-snatching team broken up by police

A male-female bag-snatching tag team is in custody after a theft gone awry on Sunday in Poipet. Police said the man acted first, swiping a purse from a Thai tourist as she walked near a border checkpoint.

Police gave chase, but the man managed to hand off the bag to his partner, who fled the scene. But once arrested, he gave up his accomplice, leading to her arrest that day. KOH SANTEPHEAP
