Barangs lose their bags in classic tuk-tuk snatch

Next time a tuk-tuk driver reminds you to hold on tightly to your possessions, listen up, because thieves are out to nick them, as some unfortunate travellers learned in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey district on Wednesday.

Three suspects accosted the luckless passengers and snatched their bag containing $400, a wallet and two phones.

Two of the wannabe highwaymen were nabbed, but one escaped, according to police, who added that a knife was used during the crime.
