Beach bandits busted soon after booking it

A teenage duo was arrested in Sihanoukville on Friday after a snatching that yielded a camera and a bag containing just 5,000 riel ($1.25). After grabbing the loot from a 20-year-old tourist as she took photos on the beach, the pair, aged 17 and 18, hot-footed it into the city.

But, perhaps weighed down by the sheer bulk of the cash, they were unable to elude the resulting police search and were snared within a couple of hours. KOH SANTEPHEAP
