There are many reasons not to entrust a one-year-old with a gold necklace, and a Phnom Penh woman learned at least one of them after an ill-fated trip to Olympic Market.
The woman, 22, was carrying her son through the market on Tuesday when a thief, 34, cut the chain and stole the necklace from the infant.
