Police in Pursat province had a cow – or rather a water buffalo – on Wednesday afternoon, when they arrested two men suspected of stealing local bovines.
The buffalo-burglars reportedly pilfered the beasts by night from a woman living nearby, packing them into a truck to ferry off to Krakor district.
However, the cargo was intercepted by police en route and two of the suspects arrested while a third managed to flee. The buffalo were returned to their rightful owner.
