A would-be thief experienced a humiliating fall from grace, and a rather painful fall from the second storey of a house, after botching an alleged burglary in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district on Tuesday.

According to police, the man was attempting to break into a house when he was spotted by neighbours, who quickly raised the alarm.

In his panic, the suspect fell from the house’s second storey and was seriously injured. Police arrived just in time, calming down residents intent on heaping yet more injury on the battered burglar. DEUM AMPIL
