Burglars escape from heist (nearly) unscathed

Two Phnom Penh burglars had lucky escapes on Saturday, one getting away scot-free due to his nimble-footedness, the other due to bureaucratic bungling.

The duo were discovered in the wee hours of Saturday morning breaking into a rented room by a neighbour who sounded the alarm.

One fled, the other was soundly beaten before being arrested but was released after the landlord failed to complete his police complaint.
