Bus chock-a-block with bootleg timber

Svay Rieng military police pulled over a Vietnam-bound tourist bus on Tuesday, after getting word it contained more than just happy holidaymakers.

After pulling the vehicle over, police discovered the Vietnamese driver had indulged in a little illicit souvenir purchasing himself: the bus was stuffed with timber with conspicuously absent certification.

The driver divulged he intended to flog the wood to furniture-makers in Vietnam, but instead he and his wood are now languishing in the provincial forestry department.
