An English teacher in Phnom Penh gave his student a lesson in irresponsible behaviour and its results, after being arrested for convincing the 17-year-old to pawn his motorbike.

The pair allegedly met on Sunday and went around the capital on the 12th grader’s bike. But when they ran out of money, the teacher, 32, allegedly persuaded the youngster to first sell parts of the bike, and later to pawn the whole thing for $700, some of which was splurged on food and accommodation.
