An off-duty police officer is recovering after being stabbed during a moto robbery on Sunday in the capital.

Police said the officer was stopping at a shop to buy some ice when two men approached, stabbing him in the back and stealing the motorbike.

Luckily, other police in the area saw the encounter and gave chase, though only one was arrested.

Dead to rights, he quickly confessed, adding that he wouldn’t have done it if he’d known the man was a cop.
