Another cattle thief escaped justice, leaving his black market customer to serve the time for both of them.

On Tuesday, the cow kidnapper stole the animal from a local farmer in Pursat province, immediately turning around and selling it for $370.

District police investigated and eventually found the buyer and a broker who facilitated the deal.

The two men were arrested for their involvement in the illegal transaction and the cow was returned to his owner, but the original crook slipped away.
