A nasty concoction of domestic strife, a distressed wife and an injured child boiled over in Battambang town on Wednesday.

According to police, a local man had gone to his estranged wife’s house to retrieve their two-year-old daughter, then allegedly slapped the woman during an argument.

The woman’s efforts to stop her husband from leaving caused the daughter to fall from his moto, injuring her head.

The daughter was hospitalised, the mother pressed charges and the father found himself in court. Nokorwat
