Child’s screams send jittery thief to pavement

Police in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district on Saturday arrested a suspect charged with robbing a 14-year-old student’s mobile phone.

The student was reportedly buying a sugarcane juice while holding her Samsung when two men on a motorbike grabbed the device and fled.

The juice vendor and the girl shouted for help. Flustered, one of the thieves fell off the bike, and local residents held him until police arrived. DEUM AMPIL
