Chinese New Year heist ends before it begins

A Chinese man in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district had a new year to remember for all the wrong reasons.

Caught up in the weekend’s festivities, the man was unaware that a burglar was rather boldly leaning a ladder up to his home on Saturday in order to ransack it.

Thankfully for the victim, his security guard noticed the burglar, 27, escaping with a sack of recyclables, and called the police. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
