Christmas Eve burglars give chimney a miss

Not exactly cat-burglar masterminds, two men were seriously injured in Banteay Meanchey province’s Poipet town on Wednesday, after they fell from a first-floor apartment they were attempting to rob.

Neighbours saw the clumsy kleptos trying to break into the apartment and called police. In a panic, the men fell one storey to the ground.

Neighbours wanted to add to the crooks’ injuries, but police intervened before a beating took place. Both suspects were sent to the hospital before court. DEUM AMPIL
