A vengeful lender found himself a fugitive for two years after attempting to collect via a pound of flesh.

The 32-year-old farmer from Stung Treng’s Thala Barivat district sold a neighbour timber on credit in 2012.

The neighbour took the wood, built a home, but never paid the farmer back. Enraged, the farmer took a cleaver and attacked the debtor.

He then fled from his village, but his run from the law came to an end on Saturday when police spotted him back in town. KOH SANTEPHEAP
