Cockfighters caught following illegal event

Two men were arrested in Kandal province’s Sa’ang district on Friday for organising an illegal cockfight. Cops said the fight went ahead despite them warning villagers several times to stop the matches.

After raiding the event, two cock owners, aged 48 and 36, were arrested, though many others managed to escape. Six cocks, cockfighting paraphernalia and a motorbike were seized at the scene. RASMEI KAMPUCHEA
