A cockfighting cabal warned over fowl crime

Three alleged cockfighters got off with a warning in Kampong Speu on Saturday.

Police from Oral district discovered the men, aged 28, 31 and 62, betting on a fight in progress in a local forest.

Police briefly detained the men, seizing five birds, six motorbikes – belonging to their escaped compatriots – and other items.

The suspects were asked to sign a letter promising that they will not offend again, before being released on Monday morning.
