Cockfighting ring ruffles feathers in Pursat town

Police in Pursat town are crowing over their bust of a cockfighting ring on Saturday.

The raid, which netted four arrests, 10 motos and five fighting birds, came on the heels of neighbourhood complaints that the blood sport had been an annoying and regular occurrence.

The men involved, who the neighbours described as “addicted”, have signed contracts agreeing to abstain in the future. KOH SANTEPHEAP
