A residential area in Kampong Speu is not the best place to open up an illegal cockfighting ring, as one man found out on Saturday.

Daily cockfights at the 40-year-old man’s home in Somrong Tong district riled up his neighbour, whose desire for some peace and quiet from the angry birds led him to tip off police.

Six men arrested in the subsequent bust were released, but the homeowner and one other cockfighting enthusiast are awaiting trial. DEUM AMPIL
