A pair of Pursat men are being questioned at provincial police headquarters after local merchants found the funny money they’d been spreading at local markets less than amusing.
Police said the two, 51 and 52, had dropped counterfeit twenties at several locations before a shopkeeper discovered the truth and filed a complaint with police.
Police think the phony bills can be traced back to Phnom Penh.
